On 3 July 2025 we arrived home to discover that a potent hail storm had caused significant damage to our home (as well as many of our neighbors' homes). Our roof and siding were replaced as a result.
I didn't arrive home until about 30-40 minutes after the storm had ended, by which time most of the hail had melted - but there was still a significant amount adjacent to my driveway, including some large hailstones whose original size I can only imagine. Some hail remained on the lawn, which neighbors indicated had been completely white, as if a heavy snow had fallen.

Marie's flowers really took a beating. There was also damage to patio furniture covers, and the latch to our gate (which had been blown open) was broken.

More significant was the impact to the house itself. Screens and both roofs (house and garage) were damaged, and there were holes in the vinyl siding.
