No visit to southeastern England would be complete without a trip to Stonehenge, eh? The iconic ancient wonder, which can no longer be approached directly, is quite scenic among the sheep fields; we are assured by signage there that the annoying roads adjacent will be either diverted or buried underground in the near future!

We also visited Chislehurst Caves (ancient limestone mines that were used as a huge air raid shelter for thousands of Londoners during World War II) and other local curiosities.
